Intro to Birdwatching
Doylestown Township Parks and Recreation and the Environmental Advisory Council invite you to participate in an "Introduction to Birdwatching Hike" through Central Park. Join Township Ornithologist Ray Hendrick, as he takes you on a journey through the park seeking out all of the beautiful native birds you never even knew were here! The walk will begin at Pavilion 1 in Central Park and will meander through the park trails for approximately two miles, including stops at the Central Park bird blind and bluebird nestboxes. The pace of the walk will be relaxed, but sturdy shoes are recommended! Also recommended: binoculars if you have them (a limited number may be availabe to borrow), a hat, water, and sunblock. All are welcome! Information about common birds in our area will be provided to participants.
