2-Day SAT Preparation Lab

The SAT is a test unlike any other your child has taken. It is not the standard curriculum-based test, but a test of reasoning. Straight knowledge is not enough to do well. Learning how to strategically and aggressively take it is a key to success. This hands-on practical lab is effective for students anywhere in the SAT or PSAT preparation process. The first day of this 2-day program includes a seminar focusing on the key strategies of how to take the test, followed by topic-specific strategies relating to each portion of the test. Major techniques include when and how to guess, which questions to skip and which to focus on, and how to prep independently. The second day provides the opportunity to apply the strategies through completion of a full-length, proctored SAT practice test. Within three weeks, families receive a diagnostic analysis of the test results via email or mail. A follow-up meeting with a college preparation advisor is included with the cost of the class. Bring a scientific or graphing calculator, two pencils, highlighter, and snacks on testing day.
